Machining tolerances that were inconceivable years ago have become reality today. Modern CNC-contolled machine tools as well as highprecision bearings and guide ways have offered tolerances measured in microns which are a standard now in the state-of-the-art mechanical engineering.
Conventional machining technologies do not meet the present expectations.

Quiet operation, energy savings and long operating life are the results of these advancements. Hydraulic clamping devices from König-mtm solve even the most pretentious machining tasks. The high-precision Königdorn® mandrels and chucks have excellent radial and axial run-out accuracy and transfer high clamping forces. They are easy to operate,
wear-resistant and resistive to dirt.

A Königdorn® can be fitted with various options. The picture shows a clamping chuck with manual clamping actuation, equiped with an Erowa quick-change plate.

Mechanical clamping mandrels of fully segmented collet element

New design for greater clamping diameters. To meet and exceed your demands for higher tolerances and increased loads has König MTM developed new mechanical arbor with fully segmented collets.

These mechanically expanding clamping tools are ideal for medium and large clamping diameters and offers depending on their size, expansion of 0.5 up to 1.3 mm. Activation can be initiated by hydraulic pressure, pull rod or an internal spring package.

Unique design elements in the collet.
The new clamping system consists of a basic tapered mandrel, a clamping bush (different diameters are available) and, for example, a draw bar. The sleeve consists of several elements which are held together mechanically by an elastic, positive locking spline (no vulcanization).

Proven results show that these new clamping tools achieves excellent accuracy in run-out both on gear grinding and milling processes.

Each of these fixtures are designed and precisely machined to your exact specifications and requirements, and can be easily adapted to almost all high precision machines.
